ROME, Ga. -- Steve Forbes, editor-in-chief of Forbes magazine, will speak at Berry College on Thursday, Mar. 31.

The chairman and CEO of Forbes Media and former Republican presidential candidate will talk about his most recent book, How Capitalism Will Save Us, at 8 p.m. in the Steven J. Cage Athletic and Recreation Center.

Forbes' appearance is part of Berry's Gloria Shatto Lecture Series, which has also featured former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Super Bowl-winning coach Tony Dungy, and renowned neurosurgeon and Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient Benjamin S. Carson Sr.

Under Forbes' leadership, his namesake company has launched a variety of new publications and businesses, such as Forbes Life, Forbes Woman and Forbes Asia.

In 1996, he entered the new media arena with Forbes.com, which now receives more than 18 million unique visitors every month and has become a leading site for business decision makers and investors.

The company's flagship publication, Forbes, is the nation's leading business magazine, with a circulation of more than 900,000. When combined with Forbes Asia and the licensee editions, Forbes reaches more than 5.5 million readers.

In 1996 and 2000, Forbes also campaigned for the Republican nomination for the presidency.
