Creative spirits sought for Winter Art Market
ROME, Ga. -- Winter is on its way, and the Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau plans to welcome it by blanketing the Civic Center in local arts, crafts and jewelry.
The Winter Arts Market bazaar will take place on Friday, Dec. 2 and Saturday, Dec. 3. It will feature artists from all across the state.
"We are looking for about 40 local artists from around Georgia to exhibit and sell their art at this new show," said Charlene Mathis, owner of Rome's Last Stop Gift Shop.
Artists of all mediums are encouraged to apply for the show.
"We want a great diversity of art and products at the show -- the only requirement is that it's made in Georgia or Georgia grown," Mathis said.
