ATLANTA -- A Gordon County man is starting off the New Year with a bang.

Jimmy L. Wright, 59, won $1 million playing the Georgia Lottery instant game 50x the Money.

The lucky ticket was purchased at Get-N-Go on Highway 411 NE in White, Ga. 50x the Money is a new game loaded with cash prizes, with $1 million being the top prize.

Wright lives in Ranger, Ga., just east of Calhoun.
