Berry students place in forensics competition | Schools
ROME, Ga. -- The Berry College Forensics Team placed sixth in this year's Novice National Forensic Tournament.
One team member, freshman Jamie Bingham, took home a number of individual awards. The Dallas, Ga. resident won the top title in the persuasive speaking category and placed second in communication analysis, second in impromptu sales and fourth in after-dinner speaking.
Two other Berry students earned national titles as well. Kim Treese, a senior from Pearl River, La., placed fourth in communication analysis and sixth in prose interpretation. Junior Clay Henry of Blue Ridge came in second in Reader's Theater for his performance in a production of "Appalachian Trials."
