ROME, Ga. -- Last week, 11Alive employees joined forces with Action Ministries to prepare food for the Smart Lunch, Smart Kid summertime lunch program.

Two Walmart managers in Rome were so inspired by the cause that they decided to do their part to feed hungry children in the community.

The managers donated bread and other food supplies from their stores to Action Ministries -- enough goods to feed even more children who are missing the free and reduced-price lunches they rely on during the school year.
