Random Acts of Kindness: Lindsey Johnson

Random Acts of Kindness: Lindsey Johnson

LINDALE, Ga. -- Today's Random Act of Kindness is truly special about one girl who knows how to pay it forward.

Lindsey Johnson is a student at Pepperell Elementary School in Lindale. When her school started raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, she was determined to help.

Not only did Lindsey raise the most money in her class, but she put her entire life savings towards the hospital. Her good deed did not go unnoticed.

Thanks to a tip from her teacher and a generous donation from h. h. gregg, 11Alive was able to help reward her.

(ATLANTA) -- The Drug Enforcement Office of Atlanta is holding the sixth annual nationwide prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, April 27 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at several area locations.

The drug take-back service is free and open to the public. It follows a "no questions asked" theme according to Special Agent Chuvalo Truesdell.

There will be numerous sites set up on Saturday to accept drugs from Georgia residents - all in an effort the increase public safety and public health.
