ROME, Ga. -- A new exhibit will open at Berry College's Moon Gallery on Mar. 11.

"Journeys into the Unknown" features archival digital prints on canvas created by artist Julia Kjelgaard.

"My work has always been about learning to see and appreciate the unseen," Kjelgaard said in a statement. "My artworks utilize collaboration between the mechanically reproduced and the handmade to assist us to see the chaotic yet beautiful nature of the world in which we live."

Kjelgaard is chair of the visual arts department at Emory University. She earned a BFA from the University of California and an MFA from the University of Michigan.

A gallery talk about "Journeys into the Unknown" will be held Mar. 11 at 7 p.m. The exhibit closes Apr. 5.

Moon Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. "Journeys into the Unknown" is free and open to the public.
