ROME, Ga. -- The Berry College Music Program will host a music festival in Rome later this month.

The 2013 Trumpet Festival of the Southeast will be at the college Jan. 18-20.

"We are honored to host the 2013 Trumpet Festival of the Southeast this year at Berry College," assistant music professor Adam Hayes said in a statement. "Most importantly, we are delighted to carry on this annual celebration of great music-making. I am excited to share our beautiful campus and our great support of the arts with trumpet enthusiasts from around the country."

The annual trumpeters' conference consists of performances, master classes and exhibits. Registration is $40 and is required to participate in classes and exhibits.

Hayes said about 300 to 400 attendees are expected at this year's festival, including representatives from Belmont University, Vanderbilt University and the University of Georgia.
