(WXIA) -- This past weekend, tens of thousands of young music lovers abandoned Atlanta’s bustling city life to travel to a more serene atmosphere in Kingston Downs, Ga., to experience CounterPoint Music Festival, featuring four stages offering a mix of indie, rock, hip-hop and electric soul performances.

CounterPoint was the perfect backdrop for festival-goers to let loose, seeing most wearing little to nothing and taking the opportunity to bask in the sun while glamping on site with their tents. There was something for everyone, with music performances going on simultaneously, on-the-go hot eats, art tents, a cracker jack’d dunking booth, bed head hair styling tent and a colorful Ferris wheel in the middle of the venue.

Although the event was rain or shine and packing a hooded poncho was on the “what to bring to CounterPoint” list, the festival was temporarily suspended on Sunday evening after reoccurring thunderstorms, but that didn’t stop die-hard fans who were there to celebrate 20 years of relevancy with festival headliner Outkast.
