Community Volunteer Fair Scheduled in Rome

ROME, GA -- The Northwest Georgia Chapter of the American Red Cross and Rome/Floyd 211 Information and Referral Line is hosting a volunteer fair on Saturday, Feb. 26.

The "Volunteer Rome" fair will be at The Well (West Rome Baptist Church, 914 Shorter Avenue SW, 30165) from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Volunteer Rome is a chance for residents and families to discover ways they can be involved in the community. It can connect people who want to make a difference with organizations that are already doing so.

Several non-profits, such as Floyd Medical Center, the Sexual Assault Center of Northwest Georgia, Floyd Against Drugs, Floyd County Emergency Management Agency, the National Alliance on Mental Illness and the American Red Cross will be representing their work and sharing ways for people to volunteer.

Radio talk show host Nelle Reagan will be the emcee at this family-friendly event. There will also be face painting, refreshments, door prizes and more.

For more information on Volunteer Rome, contact Austin Wolff either via email or at 912-288-0755.
